I am getting PUBLISHED!!

Well, not me, of course.. One of my cards will be published in the March 2010 issue of the CardMaker Magazine!!! I don't submit my cards very often, the main reason is because all of the cards I make nowadays are for my classes.. I just do not have time to make additional cards and mail them out to the magazines for them to decide whether or not they would consider my work.. CardMaker Magazine takes email submissions, so once in a while I send them emails with the photos of my cards. So far I had sent three emails with a few cards in each. Had never heard back from them until tonight!!! They have accepted one of my cards!!!

Unfortunately, I can't tell or show you which card will be published :-(

But of course I just could not wait until March of the next year to share the news with you!! I am just too excited!!! My first publication!!! Woo Hoo!!

Hugs!!

Tons of layers on this card!!! I just couldn't stop myself.. I used Curved Rectangulars, Labels One, Scalloped Circles and Circle Nestabilites for the layers. On the bottom of the card I embossed flowers with Cuttlebug Border Folder and then scored two horizontal lines under the embossed image with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from JustRite Wedding Set. Added pearl stickers to the centers of the embossed flowers and in the corners of the die cuts. Inside of the card is the punched out swirl, this is a Fiskars punch.

my little baby Chubby Cheeks

... do you know what I mean? check out those cheeks!!! ...

I just can't beleive that my Great Niece is already 10 months old!! She will be walking in no time!! I visited my sister last week to get some photos of the baby, and we had made this little scrapbook. All the supplies used to make this book are from Little Yellow Bicycle, they have the coordinating lines for a baby girl and a baby boy (including this chipboard album!!). It took us about two hours to make it, and the most that time we spent trying to decide which photos to use ;->

I took photos of all the pages, enjoy!!

Only the buttons on the front cover are not from Little Yellow Bicycle, but everything else is!! The chipboard album measures approximately 6" x 6" and comes with six blank pages in different shapes. The 6" x 6" paper pad comes with the die cut designer papers that fit right onto the pages, no exacto knife required!! Other paper and the embellishments (tags, corners, borders, etc.) are from the larger, 8" x 8" paper pad. I also used a set of chipboard stickers for the embellishments.

Oh, and all of the supplies used to design this scrapbook are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile, just give them a call at 408-736-9151 to place your order.

Hugs!!

I have also been eyeballing this embossing folder from QuicKutz called Frame.. It is probably very hard to tell by the photos, but the orange cardstock is actually a very beautiful Bazzill Metallic cardstock. It looks really so much better in real life. This gorgeous flower stamp is from Magenta. I heat embossed the image three times, colored with Pearlescent watercolors and added just a little bit of Smooch over it.. Cut out the images and layered the flower layers with dimensionals. Ovals were cut with Nestabilites. Corners were done with the Fancy Photo Corners Fiskars punch.
